Picture editing has become an important part of the wedding photography experience.
Some viewers choose images based on editing first.
My clients can select their which filters (editing) will be used for their wedding pictures as we as ratio of color to B/W.
Before we get to the editing part a photographer taking a picture has to make a decision how to: expose the image, compose and frame, what lighting technique should be used, where to place the focus, what angle and lens to use, what speed and aperture setting. All of those need to be considered and done in seconds sometimes or less. This is what really makes a difference between average and exceptional image and what kind of photographer this person really is.
Editing is really just the last layer on this big, multilayer photography cake.
